Sept. 2 Dep. from the USA

Sept. 3 Arrive in Athens.
Transfer to the hotel. Optional dinner at Geros to Mouria Restaurant in Plaka. (Wonderful restaurant at top of the Plaka with Greek dancing). Initial Guided Visit to Plaka by Mike and Helen. (Dinner not included in Cost of Trip) Overnight.

Sept. 4 Morning half day tour of Athens
incl. the Akropolis by private coach and guide. Additional Sightseeing in Plaka guided by Mike and Helen. Overnight Athens.

Sept. 5 Marina Zeas
Santorini Morning at leisure.  At 2:00 p.m. transfer to the yacht harbour of Piraeus and Embark the large, traditional wooden yacht m/s H&B and sail off into the Greek world of sparkling blue waters for the 7-day Discovery Cruise. Sail to Santorini. Dinner and overnight. (Most Breakfasts, many lunches, and most dinners while on 7-day cruise are included in cost of trip).

Sept. 6  Santorini - Ios
Morning arrival at Santorini island. Sail for SANTORINI, one of the highlights of the cruise. Optional tour of the island, visiting the Akrotiri excavation and enjoy the spectacular view. Dinner. Afternoon departure for Ios island. Overnight in IOS.

Sept. 7 Ios - Paros
Early morning sail for PAROS, one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades. This lovely island has succeeded in maintaining delicate balances between Greek traditional life and the demands of sophisticated modern visitors. Known since the antiquity for its translucent marble. Ancient sculptors used marble extracted from Paros for their best works, including “Venus of Milos” and “Hermes” by Praxitele.

A visit to the "Our Lady of 100 Gates" church is a must. Beautiful beaches, good restaurants and shopping. Arrive around 11.30. Visit. Overnight.

Sept. 8 Paros - Mykonos
Sail from Paros to Mykonos the jet-set island, with dazzling white Cycladic houses, excellent shopping, entertainment and nightlife.

Optional excursion to DELOS, the sacred island of Apollo. This uninhabited island is one vast archaeological site and in ancient times was the cultural and religious center of the Aegean from 9 BC, and for approximately a thousand years. Splendid remains of these glorious times can still be seen. Overnight.

Sept. 9 Mykonos - Syros
Morning arrival in Syros, Cyclade's capital island with the amazing architecture of the beautiful main town called Ermoupolis. Overnight.

Sept. 10 Syros - Kea
Departure in the morning for Kea.Visit. Captain's dinner. Overnight.

Sept. 11 Kea - Marina Zeas
In the morning sail to CAPE SOUNION ( where god Poseidon's temple is located). Stop for a swim and later sail to Marina Zea, arriving in the afternoon.\Optional evening trip to attend the famous Dora Stratou’s Folk Dancing performance at the Philopappus Hill, followed with a dinner at Piraeus Tourkolimano yacht harbor Overnight onboard.

Sept. 12 Athens
After breakfast, disembarkation and transfer to Athens. Day at leisure. Guided Visit (by Mike and Helen) to another wonderful Restaurant in the Plaka, and evening entertainment in Plaka (Restaurant and entertainment not included in Price of trip). Overnight.

Sept. 13
In the morning half day tour to the National Archeological Museum by taxi/and personal guide. Afternoon at leisure for shopping, optional sight-seeing, etc. Overnight.

Sept. 14
Morning at leisure for shopping. In the early afternoon, coach to Poseidon's Temple at Cape Sounion and then, (after sunset) return for dinner at Zorba Restaurant in Tourkolimano Yacht Harbor. (Dinner not included in cost of trip).

Sept. 15
Morning at leisure. Optional Guided Afternoon trip by metro to Kifissia (the Garden Suburb of Athens) and dinner on your own in a garden restaurant??

Sept. 16 Athens - Corinth - Mycaene - Epidauros - Olympia

After early breakfast, start the 4-Day Classical Tour to Delphi, Peloponnese & Meteora.

Drive through Athens to CORINTH. Cross the Corinthian Canal. Drive to the famous theatre of EPIDAUROS (visit). MYCAENE, where we will visit the archaeological site and continue through central Peloponnese to OLYMPIA, the site of the ancient Olympic games. Dinner and overnight in Olympia. (Most breakfasts and dinners while on the Classical Tour ARE included in the cost of the trip).

Sept. 17 Olympia - Delphi
In the morning visit the archaeological sites and the museum of Olympia. Drive via Patras to Rion, Naupaktos and then on to DELPHI. Dinner and overnight in Delphi.

Sept. 18 Delphi - Meteora
In the morning visit the sites and museum of DELPHI (Site of the Ancient Oracle of Delphi, and the Temple of Apollo). Depart for Kalambaka. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka

Sept. 19 Meteora - Athens
In the morning visit the breathtaking METEORA monasteries, and start the drive back to Athens. Arrive in Athens in about 6.00 pm. Dinner in Plaka on your own. Overnight in Athens

Sept. 20 In the morning transfer to Piraeus
for ferry ride to Island of Hydra for the two-day "End of Trip -Wind Down." Hydra is a beautiful island and artists/writers colony with no automobile traffic - only donkeys and walking.) Brief guided tour of Island and Harbor Area by Mike and Helen. Overnight.

Sept. 21 In Hydra. Overnight.
Brief guided tour of Island and Harbor Area by Mike and Helen.

Sept. 22
At noon, ferry back to Piraeus and then to Athens. Taxi transfer to Mount Lycabettus r/t for dinner. (Dinner not included in Cost of Trip). Overnight.

Sept. 23  
After breakfast, transfer to Athens Airport for return trip to the USA

*Cost of Trip (NOT including Airfare) = $4,100.
Round-Trip Coach class airfare from New York, round trip to Athens, Greece, usually costs approximately $700 - $900 at the time of the year we will be traveling.
